Bij Jati Kebon geloven we dat het buitenleven net zoveel comfort en zorg verdient als je binnenruimtes. Jati Kebon's Erfgoed

In 1976 legde Firmin Verbeke de basis voor een bedrijf dat gebouwd is op hard werken, vakmanschap en een toewijding aan kwaliteit. Wat begon met grasmaaiers en tuingereedschap, evolueerde al snel. In 1995 gaven zijn kinderen Johan en Leen het bedrijf een nieuwe richting door betrouwbaar, goed ontworpen buitenmeubilair voor iedereen toegankelijk te maken.

Ze noemden hun bedrijf Jati Kebon, wat 'teak' en 'tuin' betekent, geïnspireerd door de duurzame materialen en het vakmanschap dat ze in Indonesië vonden. Vanuit deze wortels is Jati Kebon uitgegroeid tot een vertrouwde naam in het buitenleven, bekend om meubels die de tand des tijds doorstaan — solide, betrouwbaar en doordacht ontworpen.
In 2011 besloot Johan te investeren in een productiefaciliteit in China. Vandaag de dag produceert deze fabriek hoogwaardige buitenmeubels van diverse materialen en biedt deze werk aan meer dan 200 medewerkers. In 2016 werd een tweede productielocatie geopend in Semarang, Indonesië, gespecialiseerd in gevlochten en houten items, met meer dan 170 medewerkers.

Vandaag worden onze producten wereldwijd verkocht, zowel onder private label als onder het merk Jati Kebon.

In 2021 werd een nieuw hoofdstuk toegevoegd aan het Jati Kebon verhaal met de opening van ons gloednieuwe magazijn en hoofdkantoor in Nazareth, België.

Heritage and evolution

The story of Jati Kebon began in 1976, when Firmin Verbeke founded a company built on craftsmanship, hard work and quality. In 1995, his children Johan and Leen guided the business toward outdoor furniture, inspired by the durable materials and authentic craftsmanship they discovered in Indonesia. The name Jati Kebon, meaning teak and garden, reflects these origins and the blend of Belgian design values with Asian expertise that defines our DNA.

Over the years, the brand expanded across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, becoming known for timeless outdoor collections made to last. In 2011, Johan established a production facility in China, followed by a second factory in Semarang, Indonesia in 2016. These in house sites give us exceptional flexibility and full control over every step of the production process.

Today, Jati Kebon serves hospitality professionals, architects, designers and outdoor living enthusiasts worldwide, offering both private label and branded collections. In 2021, we opened our new warehouse and headquarters in Nazareth, Belgium, strengthening our position as an international Belgian outdoor furniture brand.

In 2025, a complete rebranding marked a new era focused on design, emotion and global ambition. This shift introduced high end collections created with renowned international designers and reflects our commitment to elevate outdoor living through innovation and contemporary Belgian design. In the same year, we began building a new flagship showroom and headquarters in China, expanding our presence in Asia and bringing the Jati Kebon experience even closer to our global partners.

The strength of our own factories

At Jati Kebon, we believe in the power of full vertical integration. By managing every step of the production process ourselves, we maintain complete control, reduce costs and ensure consistent efficiency. This approach creates clear advantages and real added value for our clients, from improved quality to shorter lead times and greater design flexibility.

Today, our in house expertise covers the entire journey of our outdoor furniture. From product design and material development to prototyping, manufacturing, quality control and global shipping, every step is carefully monitored by our own teams. With our fully owned production facilities in China and Indonesia, we are able to work with exceptional flexibility and precision. This allows us to follow up closely on each project and deliver tailored solutions for international markets across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
