Jati Kebon's Heritage
In 1976, Firmin Verbeke laid the foundation for a company built on hard work, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality. What began with lawnmowers and garden tools soon evolved, and in 1995, his children Johan and Leen took the company in a new direction—bringing reliable, well-crafted outdoor furniture to everyone.
They named their company Jati Kebon, meaning ‘teak’ and ‘garden,’ inspired by the durable materials and artistry they found in Indonesia. From these roots, Jati Kebon has grown into a trusted name for outdoor living, known for furniture that stands the test of time—solid, dependable, and thoughtfully designed.

In 2011, Johan decided to invest in a production facility in China; today, this plant manufactures high-quality outdoor furniture made from various materials and employs more than 200 workers. In 2016, another production unit was started up in Semarang, Indonesia. This facility is specialized in woven and wooden items and employs more than 170 workers.
Today our products are sold across the world, both under private label and also under the Jati & Kebon brand.
In 2021, another exciting milestone is added to the Jati & Kebon story by opening our brand-new warehouse and headquarters in Nazareth, Belgium.
